According to People, Meow, the 39-lb cat died on Saturday afternoon at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society. He was 2 years old. Mary Martin, the director of the animal shelter in Santa Fe where Meow was living, announced on Facebook that she was forced to put Meow to sleep over the weekend because his respiratory system was failing due to his weight. Ah damn, I really liked the cat! Rest in peace, Meow. You will be deeply missed.
